Morning Care - 7:00am to 7:30am

Pre-Kindergarten through 3rd Grades
Arrival/Breakfast - 7:30am to 7:45am
School Day - 7:45am to 3:00pm
Dismissal - 3:00pm to 3:10pm

4th through 5th Grades
Arrival/Breakfast - 7:30am to 7:45am
School Day - 8:00am to 3:15pm
Dismissal - 3:15pm to 3:25pm

6th through 10th Grades
Arrival/Breakfast - 7:45am to 8:00am
School Day - 8:10am to 3:30pm
Dismissal - 3:30pm to 3:40pm

Odyssey Students Win First and Second in Computer Science at Science and Engineering Fair

Eighth Graders Adam T. Lia A. placed 1st and 2nd in the Life or Physical Science, Computer Science Category of the Galveston County Science and Engineering Fair that was held February 16, 2008 at TAMUG.

First Place in the category went to Adam Thompson, an Odyssey seventh grader, for his video game, Stick in Greyscale Land. “During the competition I enjoyed myself immensely,” Adam said.

Manipulatives Help Teach Math at Odyssey Academy

Remember ten years ago when few people had cell phones, computers were luxury items, and the World Wide Web was a myth? Just as fast as our world has changed in ten years, so has our children's world of education. Unfortunately for most students today, this change has been a hard adjustment. Odyssey Academy is helping their students adjust by creating an environment of active, hands-on learning. Pre-Kindergarten classes use counting bears to create patterns and groups. Early elementary students are using base ten blocks to learn a variety of concepts including place value, addition and subtraction. Middle school students are using graphing calculators and algebra tiles to solve equations rather than using the same old pencil and paper method.
