About Mrs. Guevara |

I was born in Brownsville, Texas and raised in Port Isabel, Texas. I am married to a wonderful man and have two beautiful daughters!
My parents and siblings all live in Port Isabel and I really enjoy going back home to visit. The one thing I learned growing up is that family and education are very important. My mother always told us we should, “Help one another!” My father always emphasized that no matter what we did we should, “Read!”
Thanks to the support of my parents and my husband, I currently possess a Texas Teaching Certification and attended The University of Houston—Clear Lake where I received my B. A. in Humanities.
Through the years, I found myself often trying to help others learn about various types of information which lead me to where I am today. I really love helping others learn new concepts.
For the 2007-2008 school year, I will be teaching Odyssey Academy 4th grade students and I am looking forward to meeting the expectations of students and parents.
My goal is to make a difference in the lives of as many children as possible. I anticipate seeing each of my students be successful and reaching their fullest potential for SUCCESS!
